With a unique blend of environmental influences and expansive experience in design and advertising, Luis Rodriguez has been instrumental in establishing The Medium’s creative voice. With over 20 years of experience in brand development, digital, print, interactive and environmental media, Rodriguez leads a multi-disciplinary team of creatives in a wide range of assignments.
After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design from CSUF, Rodriguez went on to capture a Senior Graphic Designer role at Nike where he developed branding and design projects for the NFL, NBA, NHL and NCAA. Luis diversified his talents six years later when becoming the Creative Director at TransWorld Motocross, where he directed photographers, editors and artists to develop the publication and its related digital assets, video productions, marketing and advertising efforts.
Luis was born in Uruguay and emigrated to the U.S. when he was 10 years old. He loves to travel and manages to stay in form through surfing, skateboarding, cycling, and chasing his three youngsters around the house.
Through his extensive experience in production and project management, not to mention a strangely unique (borderline OCD) ability to coordinate and organize, Ryan Cooley bridges all gaps between the creative and the client, allowing The Medium to provide top-notch service with complete transparency and accessibility.
Growing up an avid enthusiast in snowboarding, motocross and surfing, Cooley still managed to graduate from Arizona State University with a BS in Nutrition and minor in Biochemistry. Never departing from his core interests, including playing guitar in a mediocre (at best) punk rock band, Ryan temporarily lent his skills to a leading dietary supplement manufacturer, as well as his family’s business in the aerospace industry. Prior to launching The Medium in 2008 as a co-founder, Cooley served as Managing Editor at TransWorld Motocross magazine for 6 years.
Well-rounded with a hunger for all flavors of life, Cooley keeps The Medium’s projects, productions and operations in motion, and does so with perfectly organized stacks on his desk.
From his early days in BMX, through his extensive experience in video production and marketing, Glenn PP Milligan has always relished the opportunity to share the stoke and help people feel the same joy that action sports and the outdoors bring to their participants.
Growing up in Brooklyn’s BMX scene, Milligan taught himself to shoot, edit and direct videos that bring people inside the experience. Moving to California in 2000 to work at Transworld Media, Glenn diversified his directing skills by working across several action sports disciplines. Further broadening his skill set during his time as Marketing Manager at TIP Plus, Milligan went on to direct and produce high-end video content for Nike—first in their action sports division, and later in larger categories like basketball, running, soccer and lifestyle.
Prior to joining forces with The Medium in 2018, Milligan spent 8 years with OPTIMIST as Director of Content. With a vast knowledge of marketing and storytelling to draw from, Glenn has a unique ability to connect brands with excited consumers.
An award-winning photographer specializing in action sports, motorsports, lifestyle and portraits, not to mention an all-around kind-hearted Vegan health nut, Garth Milan graduated from Long Beach State University with a degree in Photojournalism and a minor in Psychology.
A lifelong participant in motocross racing, Milan first spent time honing his skills at Dirt Rider magazine before helping to launch TransWorld Motocross magazine as one of two founding editors. With nearly 20 years of editorial/commercial experience and three published books under his belt, Milan has modestly grown into his role as one of action sports’ leading photographers.
When he’s not busy firing off shots that will make your mouth water, Garth spends his time mountain biking and cruising his boat on Lake Arrowhead. Milan’s keen eye for art and design, as well as his vast photographic experience in a wide variety of landscapes, make him a critical component to The Medium’s diverse offerings.
